Jackfruit (Artocarpus heterophyllus Lam.) is an evergreen tree of the genus Jackfruit in the Moraceae family. Tree height 10-20m, bark black brown; Leaves oval, spirally arranged; Flower monoecious plant, fruit mature epidermis yellow brown, the surface has tuberculous convex body and coarse hair.
Jackfruit is a tropical fruit and the heaviest fruit in the world, generally weighing 5-20 kg and weighing more than 59 kg. Flesh is eaten fresh or processed into canned, preserved fruit, juice. The seeds are starchy and can be cooked; SAP and leaves medicinal, detumescent detoxification; Flesh has thirst, milk, tonifying qi effect; Jackfruit tree shape is neat, the crown is big shade thick, the fruit is peculiar, is a beautiful courtyard shade tree and street tree; Century-old jackfruit tree with hard golden wood used for furniture and yellow dye.
